Mastering
as a Life Coach in the Entertainment Business Industry is very hard work. This
skill is very versatile, but yet rewarding. You should be able to share your vision of
teaching with other people so that they will have an urge to follow you, “willingly”.
People in the Entertainment world should want to learn, and hear more updated
information from you within your Mastery if you are any good at what you do. According
to a quote from the book from Robert Greene. The 48 Laws of Power LAW 11 -LEARN TO KEEP PEOPLE DEPENDENT
ON YOU. It states, Judgment: To maintain your independence you must always
be needed and wanted. The more you are relied on, the more freedom you have.
Make people depend on you for their happiness and prosperity and you have
nothing to fear. Never teach them enough so that they can do without you.
However, Being in Entertainment Business as a Life
Coach you will have a wide variety of personal characteristics to exemplify
like becoming a leader, understanding business plans, and learning how to work
with others. You will also have several careers, and skills, to choose from to help and teach like
Music, Media, Film, Gaming, Events, Design, and Television; just to name a few.
Teaching others how to be successful is not only rewarding but it will also
keep you educated; because you will continuously research and stay up to date
with what’s new and trending. People
will rely on you and they will also want to learn more from you and you will be
called upon more so you have to be available.
On the other hand I have to agree to disagree with
some of the Laws of Robert Greene, because I believe in honesty and treating
people fairly and not being conniving just to make it to the top. Instead when teaching others, I would teach them about
ambition first because having ambition in business will help you in business
create and establish your character and style.
To demonstrate; here is a reading from the School of Champions that I
read on “ambition.” I like the stated example of being too ambitious"can result
in negative character traits.
Though being a Life Coach is not an easy task; you
have to be very knowledgeable and you cannot be lazy or easily swayed by the
wind. One should be organized and yet focused on a dream or a goal for you or
someone else. Teaching others what you know, and have already learned is giving
back. In conclusion giving back is rewarding in itself and you should not keep
knowledge that you have hidden under a lamp shed but rather share your
light, vision with others and help to create a big empire so others can do the
same. If your able to coordinate and
lead, you can be a Life Coach despite anything you may feel is a distraction. Find out what industry you like and try to work in that area to help others
grow and get to where you are or even further in Mastery.

DeleteI really enjoy reading this post and I feel like you make a great case for being a life coach in the Entertainment Business Industry. I feel like to teach is to be fearless because you have to trust yourself enough to allow others to follow you. Having the willingness to teach others is a trait of a great leader. There is a thin line between being a leader and being a follower. ‘In order to be a great leader, you have to be a great follower’, I heard this quote many times and it really makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Many people want to be the chief but when it boils down to it, nobody wants the headache that comes with it. Therefore, leadership comes with great responsibility because you have to think about your actions. One of the great things about the entertainment industry is the fact you will come across all type of people. Some will be helpful to you and others will not. Robert Green’s ‘The 48 Laws of Power Law 11’ is a great example of people behavior when they to have power over others. In a corporate setting as an example, you want to have the most knowledge but you don’t want to teach others everything you know because you might be replaced if you do someday. Creating a ‘carbon copy’ of yourself could be detrimental to the longevity of your stay with the company. The best thing to do is to have a positive relationship in which you have a partnership as far as work concerned. Meaning that I will help you with this project if you help me with this other thing. The same will apply to your boss. It is all about maintaining power without people hating you for it. I feel that being a life coach is a great way to reach people and very rewarding in the process. It may not be easy but I think that you have what it takes to make it happen. After all, this is your passion.
ReplyDeleteThank you Hallaye Sow, well said. I like to think of myself as a Master but people don't always see the blood sweat and tears behind the hard work of being a Life Coach. People lean on you, count on you, and most of all (when your saved or set a standard) they look for you for encouragement, guidance, prayer And Your Downfalls, so you have to stay on your toes and be real with yourself. Robert Green makes some good points in his book and I do believe that Law #2 NEVER PUT TOO MUCH TRUST IN FRIENDS, is valuable. There's a great analogy I think of when it comes to people that want the weight lost but don't want to sweat to get it off. You can’t trust everyone you have to know and understand people and know their work ethics and how they present themselves daily and then you will be able to cope and work with them professionally in the industry and you might be able to teach or even learn something from them.Very passionate about what I Iive for and people. But in this Executive Leadership class we discuss these things daily before I graduate my Masters I'm sure I will be on overload on how to help others and myself to remain successful in whatever I do.
